My best holidays ever, ever ever, were in England.

I was lucky enough to be able to visit my best friend Dani who was doing his PHD there, in Reading (20 minutes away from London by train), which is a lovel
y city with a lot of history, cemeteries in the middle of town, an old 1000 year old abbey, and specially relevant for me, the jail were Oscar Wilde was imprisoned for being a sodomite (look it up).

I was there for 21 days, June to July 2011, and during that time i was blessed enough to be able to visit Manchester, London, Bath, and Stonehenge, take a million pictures (which are now mostly lost), and bring enough souvenirs and memories that i’m still finding some, 3 house moves and 12 years later. Back in those days i was selling my soul at a private tertiary education institution, so i had coins, and i was only 23, so i had youth, energy, and enthusiasm, and i had curiosity, and wanderlust, and i ate the entire island. Literally. I gained about 4 kilos that month and i reversed my vegetarianism to include poultry and not to miss out the world cuisine i had access to. The whole of the UK is steeped in magic, it’s green, lush, and beautiful.

Next time i’ll tell y’all about the time i went to new york and had a pumpkin donut in Times Square.

That’s about it.

See ya!
